Vision and Values

Working together for the whole child

At Whitchurch Community Primary School we are committed to valuing and nurturing the whole child: to inspiring in each and every one a desire to learn and achieve, to explore and develop their individual strengths and interests and to be confident and secure in the challenges they encounter. We will do this by:

  • Delivering a full and varied curriculum: we will engage and enlighten with learning both within and beyond the classroom, and will encourage understanding and respect for all others and for the world in which we live.

  • Being at the heart of our community, building strong and supportive partnerships with parents, carers and all those who bring additional skills and ideas to help us enrich our children’s daily lives and experiences.

  • Providing inspirational leadership, ensuring that all our exceptional staff are supported to foster a caring and loving school in which we deliver teaching and learning excellence to raise every child’s aspirations and attainment and empower them to achieve their full potential.

Pupil-centred vision

For the whole child – our promise to you

We want you to always feel happy and safe, to enjoy exploring and developing your own strengths and interests and to be excited by learning. We want you to be able to choose what you want to do and who you want to be when you are older. To help you do this, we will give you the opportunity to do and learn lots of different things, both in and outside the classroom, so you can be musical, sporty, creative, a historian or scientist, a writer or mathematician, a doctor or engineer – whatever you want to be. We will help you to believe in yourself and what you can achieve.

We will work closely with those around you at home and in the community. We will show you the fun and wonder of our world and the people in it. We will give you a caring and loving school, with inspiring teaching and learning to help every child grow and achieve.
