Both our Year 3&4 teams and the Year 5&6 teams won the cross country competitions.  Points accumulating over 3 events.

Also congratulations to our Year 1&2 pupils who took part in the Yelverton fun run.  Reuben was the overall winner with Jack in 3rd place.

8 pupils from Year 5 and 2 from Year 6 took part in the Tavistock and District Tag Rugby competition.  They came 2nd in their pool and went into the Trophy competition which they won.  Congratulations

The 2nd leg of the 3 cross country competitions were held on the 7th March at Whitchurch Down.  All four teams performed really well.  Attached are some photos of the event, which although windy and cold, was dry!

Children who attend Guides, Scouts, Beavers, Cubs, Brownies and Rainbows wore their uniforms to school to celebrate World Thinking Day/

We celebrated Pancake day with a inter-house pancake race competition.  The winners were Green House.

The 1st event took place on the 8th February.  Currently with the Year 3&4 teams we are in first place.  The placings for Year 5&6 have yet to be released.  The next competition is in March.

Congratulations to our swimming team of

Henry, Harry, Amelia, Abigail, Seth, James, Olivia, Harriet who represented Whitchurch at the swimming gala at Meadowlands on the 25th January.  As a team they won 11 out of the 14 events and were overall winners with 74 points (beating the 2nd team by 16 points)

The pupils in Year 4,5 &6 went to sing at the Crelake Nursing Home on the 13th December.  The residents and pupils both really enjoyed it.

A big thank you to Mr and Mrs Borthwick, who by organising letter box walks, have raised enough money to purchase new tennis rackets for the school.

Congratulations to our Year 5&6 team of 12 children who took part in the Sportshall tournament and won the Large School Competition.
