19th March – school open today

13th November – 17th November – Anti Bullying Week

The children will take part in antibullying assembies/songs and work in class on antibullying during this week.

At Whitchurch we are committed to working in partnership with parents.  We recognise that you will know and understand your children and that we need to listen to you. If children are to do well at school we need to work together.  We need you to talk to us about your child and any worries or concerns you have. The partnership is built by having regular communication between home and school.  This includes; Informal contact at the beginning and end of the day, Home School books, satchel post, homework, topic letters, weekly newsletter, Parent and Teacher consultation every term, Open Evening, Parents’ Forum, maths and reading booklets, curriculum workshops, parents coming into school to help, parent involvement in the Whitchurch School Association and enrichment activities.

E-safety advice for parents

Many children of primary school age are playing on games consoles at home (Xbox, Playstation etc.) We ask parents to consider carefully the games which they are allowing their children to play. Some of these games contain some highly inappropriate and violent behaviour and in some cases depiction of sexual and illegal activities. Their is an age rating and content description system in place (Known as PEGI) which will help parents make an informed decision about each game. Every game sold in the UK has PEGI information printed on the packaging. Please read more about it by clicking on the PEGI icon below.
